I am Katie Judge. I enjoy spending my time baking, cooking, reading, and traveling. I have 3 dogs and live with my partner of more than 10 years. I enjoy trying to live life to the fullest.
I graduated from St. Ambrose University with a BA in psychology in 2010 and my Master of Social Work in 2012. I have been working in the field of social services for almost 20 years and have experience in several areas.
I previously worked direct care with individuals with disabilities, as a case manager for seniors, adult protective services caseworker, and as a case manager for disability waivers in Iowa. In 2019, I began my journey as a mental health therapist. I started this journey by working in a school-based setting and eventually decided outpatient mental health was the path I enjoy most.
I have experience with individuals ages 4 and up. My theories of practice include CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, skill building, sensory processing, family systems, and solution focused. I work with children and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and trauma. I utilize a down to earth and individualized approach with each client, understanding that each person’s needs and backgrounds are unique to them.
