I believe that meaningful relationships are at the heart of a fulfilling life. Family, friends, and the connections we build along the way are what ground us, support us, and help us grow. As a mother of two daughters and a proud grandmother, I understand firsthand the joy, challenges, and rewards that come with nurturing those relationships. Whether it's gathering for a backyard cookout, taking a spontaneous road trip, or simply
spending quality time together, these moments remind me of what matters most.
I also have a passion for travel and discovering new places, cultures, and perspectives. One destination that never loses its magic for me is Disney World. It serves as a wonderful reminder that joy, wonder, and play are important at every stage of life—not just childhood.
I have a deep admiration for sea turtles. These gentle, resilient creatures and the calm determination they embody. Their quiet strength reflects values I strive to bring into both my personal life and professional work. I come to each session not only as a clinician, but as a compassionate, authentic person who understands that life's journey is both meaningful and complex.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa in 2016 and am licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
For more than 20 years, I have supported children, adolescents, and families across a variety of settings, including crisis services, inpatient, post-hospitalization care, outpatient therapy, and school-based services. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to helping young people build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and thrive in their daily lives.
My experience includes crisis intervention services for children and adolescents ages 3–21, supporting families following post-hospitalization support, and providing individual therapy in both outpatient and school settings. In addition to working at Urban Balance Therapy, I serve as a school social worker, where I provide social-emotional support and collaborate with educators and families to develop IEPs and 504 plans that help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
I have specialized training in crisis intervention, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). My approach is rooted in meeting each child and family where they are, offering warmth, patience, understanding, and evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs.
I look forward to working with you and your family, and to being a supportive, compassionate presence on your journey.
