While I was trained in psychodynamic theory, and consider that my baseline, I lean into an eclectic approach meeting clients where they are to best facilitate their needs. I view everything through a trauma-focused lens. I like to go at your pace, and while I am encouraging, I will never push you to talk in depth about things you are not ready to talk about as we get to know each other. I draw from Psychodynamic therapy, Feminist theory, Relational Cultural theory, Person- centered therapy, inner child/parts work, and narrative therapy.
I have been married to my partner for over 10 years and I am a mom to a small human, 3 dogs,
and a rabbit! I am down to earth, compassionate, and a little bit of a nerd. I enjoy traveling and
learning about other cultures and food. I love to sing, dance, and find humor in things. I am open and inclusive to all spiritual paths. I love to spend as much time as I can
in nature as I find it really helps put things into perspective and grounds me.
I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Northwestern University where I gained education and experience working with clients with anxiety, trauma, complex trauma, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I have a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community, college students, and adult children of immigrants.
